Panthera Africa Educational Visit Voucher

Stanford, Western Cape

OPEN!!! 9am and 4pm visits per day except TUESDAYS Please Pre-Book via tel 0711828368 or email info@pantheraafrica.com.

Activity Description

One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.

On our educational visits you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes, and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.

We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.

We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and to introducing you to our four legged friends!

Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary

Customer Reviews

A really interesting and informative visit. Clearly this sanctuary is doing some amazing work with rescue animals and their love and care for them is so evident. Do note that you have to book in order to visit. - Helen

Definitely worth a visit. The enclosure is large, the needs of the animals are taken into consideration and the detailed information on each cat was impressive. - Jeannette

Panthera provided the opportunity to get up close to the big cats. We were especially excited to see the lions , leopards and caracals and were very surprised to see the tigers . Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed her own love of these animals which had mostly been rescued from zoos and circuses around Africa and the world. The sanctuary is an easy drive from Hermanus near Capetoen and is great value for money. We can highly recommend this tour for families, children will really love being so close but still safely behind wire . - Louise

Our visit was extremely enjoyable and interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us the background of the sanctuary. A worthwhile visit. - Tony
