Panthera Africa Educational Visit

Stanford, Western Cape

OPEN!!! 9am and 4pm visits per day except TUESDAYS Please Pre-Book via tel 0711828368 or email info@pantheraafrica.com.

Activity Description

One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.

On our educational visits you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes, and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.

We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.

We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and to introducing you to our four legged friends!

Online booking system closes 24 hours in advance. Please call +27 (0)71 182 8368 to inquire about possible openings on short notice.

Customer Reviews

I had a wonderful visit and was glad to see the compassion and caring of the animals. Their enclosures were nice and big, and there was plenty to keep them entertained. I highly recommend going to see Panthera Africa. - Shelley

There are significantly too few institutions in the world that follow the principled approach to captive great cats, or wildlife in general, like the leadership of Panthera does. The experience was deeply informative and left a profound impact on everyone in my group. We will certainly regard human interaction with wildlife through a more ethical lens in future. Moreover it was a thrill to be so close to such magnificent creatures. - Robert

Great experience and very educational. We will be back. - Lyndeen

Very nice experience for my family. Very good guide. A very pleasant experience. - Mnr

We found the whole experience very informative from what Panthera is doing for conservation to each animals story of rescue. The guide was also very knowledgeable with her facts. A moving visit & would certainly recommend for anyone to visit. Well done & keep up the good work. - Andrew
