Panthera Africa Educational Children's Visit Voucher

Stanford, Western Cape

OPEN!!! Please Pre-Book via tel 0711828368 or email

Activity Description

One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.

On our educational visits you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes, and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.

We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.

We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and to introducing you to our four legged friends!

Customer Reviews

Really wonderful experience for both adults and kids. Sydney was super friendly and knowledgeable. We are not generally people who enjoy visiting sanctuaries because see them as big zoos, bit this was totally different. To see the good that is being done and how happy and calm the animals are, was so reassuring. Rays was our favourite!! We will definitely be back. - Casey Korck

Being so close to the majestic animals were something I never really thought I would be able to experience in my life. My son loved it so much that the next morning he wanted to visit Pathera Africa again. Our tour guide Sarah certainly knew how to entertain a crowd and it was clear that the animals were close to her heart, always acting in their best interest. I would definitely recommend people to visit Pathera Africa Sanctuary. Gem hidden away - Vernice

Was an amazing experience. Thanks Ladies. - Samantha

We all really enjoyed our visit, seeing the big cats in the first place and then also seeing the changes the animals have been through and how far they've come. You all do a wonderful job of giving animals that have been severely maltreated a decent way of life and should be applauded for that. - Joanna Okroj

Funimfundo pre school Grade R class were so excited to have been sponsored an opportunity to visit Pantherea. The visit was so much more than any of the learners could have imagined. We arrived to the warm welcoming smiles of the Pantherea staff and met by our guide, Sydney, who was amazing with the children. The Cats were hungry and waiting to be fed, which was an awesome opportunity to see them right up close.and the children were in absolute awe of the sheer size and power of the Cats. Thank you Pantherea for creating a safe and special sanctuary for Cats who otherwise would not have made it in the wild, the sanctuary is a great opportunity for adults and children to see the big Cats up close which creates awareness and an understanding of the need to preserve our wild life. Judging by the drawings done in class the next day, the back Leopard sitting high up in a tree and Neptune chewing a bone were the highlights. We had a fantastic outing, enjoyed by the learners as well as the adults who attended. Thank you Pantherea! - Maryann Ward
